Greensboro, North Carolina
Although you may think Greensboro got its name from the abundance of emerald foliage, however, it’s name doesn’t actually symbolize a color. Greensboro honors Gen. Nathanael Greene, who led American forces in the Revolutionary War’s Battle of Guilford Courthouse in 1781.

2oth Century Greensboro is the only city between Washington, DC and Atlanta with five freeways intersecting. This upcoming North Carolina town jumped in to provide what was needed. Because of this, FedEx came to Greensboro and tremendously expanded the Piedmont International Airport, making it now one of the main FedEx hubs.

Greensboro is with 15 miles, there are 1188 restaurants, 21 libraries, 80 miles of walking and bike trails and 61 golf courses (we like our golf here in North Carolina). Greensboro also hosts the annual Wyndham Golf Championship.

If you and your family enjoy weekend trips Greensboro makes it easy to travel through North Carolina. The Appalachian Mountains are about 90 minutes west and the Atlantic Ocean, only three hours east, is home to Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Myrtle Beach, Holden Beach, Figure 8 Island and many more. For larger cities, Raleigh and Durham are only an hour and a half east. Charlotte, home to the NBA Hornets and Carowinds, is about 2 hours west.

High Point, North Carolina
High Point is the only city in North Carolina that exists within four counties, and is known for its heavy influence on the furniture industry. Located in the Piedmont Triad region of the state, High Point offers opportunity for diverse and international business expansion.

Since High Point expands over four separate counties, four different public school systems service public education in the city too. Guilford County Schools serve the area of High Point in Guilford, and the district has over 100 schools in the system, including six charter schools. Davidson County Schools serves High Point’s Davidson County students, Randolph County Schools serves the Randolph County area, and Forsyth County Schools serves Forsyth County with five charter schools in addition to various public schools. There are also several private and independent schools in High Point like Wesley Christian Academy and Immaculate Heart of Mary. For higher education opportunities, High Point is home to High Point University.

High Point is also home to the High Point Market, a biannual event is the largest home furnishings industry trade show in the world. With over 10 million square feet and about 2000 exhibits this market holds two major shows each year, one in April and another in October, running for 6 days each time. Around 70,000-80,000 people attend and from over 100 countries around the world. The High Point Market Authority coordinates the exposition, whose showrooms have nearly completely filled what had been the historic downtown

Winston Salem, North Carolina
Known for its dedication to fine arts, history and technological research, Winston Salem is also one the most progressive communities on the East Coast. From outstanding restaurants to innovative and exceptional cultural attractions, such as the Diggs Gallery and Old Salem, there are many reasons to join the Winston-Salem community.

Winston Salem is not only home to Old Salem, Bailey Park and the Winston Salem Dash, but also to the annual Texas Pete Festival! This festival is one of the city’s largest events and happens every September. There is great shops, great food, and great music, you definitely don’t want to miss it!

The innovative town is home to Wake Forest University, the city has a college-town feel with the amenities of a larger city. Residents have access to excellent healthcare led by Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and its 11,000 employees, and Novant Health with its 8,000 employees. The city also houses Hanes Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in North Carolina.

Kernersville, North Carolina
Kernersville, nicknamed, “the Heart of the Piedmont Triad”. This little town is about 20 minutes from Greensboro, High Point, and Winston Salem. It’s close proximity to more than 20 different colleges including Wake Forest University, High Point University, and University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), makes it a prime place for professionals and academics alike.

Apart from its distance Kernersville is home to Körner’s Folly, a quaint little home with loads of history and unique handmade designs. This is a great place to bring the family for the day!
